I had a mixed experience at this resort. The rooms were clean enough, but my non-smoking room was outdated and lacked hot water, which led to a lot of trips to the onsen. The service was helpful when I had questions, but amenities were lacking due to staff shortages. The location is a bit uphill from the main street but still close to some attractions. Overall, it wasn't the best value for money, but it had its highlights.

Rooms
5.0
My non-smoking room was quite old and didn't have hot water, so I had to go to the onsen every time I wanted a shower. Despite that, it didn't reek of cigarette smoke.
Service
6.0
There seemed to be a skeleton crew; while they were apologetic and helpful with questions about meals, several amenities, like the shuttle service, just weren't available.
Location
7.0
The hotel is located on a slope away from the main street, which makes it a little inconvenient. However, it's about a 15-minute walk to main attractions, so that was a plus.
Dining
7.0
Dining was decent, with meals made from local ingredients, but the service hours were limited. Also, it was a bit far from Yubatake.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities are limited, especially without a full staff to manage amenities effectively.

I recently stayed at this resort spa, and while it offered a unique experience with its onsen and comfortable rooms, I encountered a few hiccups. The mixed response from the staff regarding my meal requests was a little frustrating, and the location was a bit tricky to navigate. However, the on-site amenities were enjoyable and added value to my stay.

Rooms

The rooms were clean and offered a comfortable stay, despite the confusion over smoking policies.
Service

The staff were polite and tried to assist with my queries, but their follow-up was lackluster.
Location

The resort is situated on a slope and, while it’s close to the center area, walking to major attractions requires some effort.
Dining
5.0
The dining options included local ingredients, but the meal scheduling was quite limited, which made it impossible to enjoy certain offerings.
Facilities

The onsen facilities were a highlight of my stay, providing a relaxing environment.

My stay at the hotel was quite a mixed bag. The rooms were clean and tidy, but I couldn't shake the faint smell of cigarette smoke, which was a bit off-putting. On the other hand, the service was inconsistent, with some staff being polite while others seemed overwhelmed and less attentive. The location, while not the most convenient, was just a short walk from the main attractions, which helped a bit. Overall, it’s decent, but there are definitely areas for improvement.

The room was clean and tidy, but there was a lingering smell of cigarette smoke that made it less pleasant for non-smokers like us.
Service

Service was a mix. While some staff members were polite, they often seemed overworked and didn't provide the attention I expected.
Location

It's not the best location, situated on a slope away from the main street, but just a 15-minute walk to the main attractions.

Facilities were limited, as there was essentially a skeleton crew working, meaning many amenities weren’t available.

I had a mixed experience at this resort spa. The rooms were clean but had some lingering cigarette smoke, and we struggled with hot water since we had to go to the onsen for showers. The service seemed indifferent, and the location, while close to the center, required a bit of a walk up a slope. On the brighter side, the dining options were great, showcasing local ingredients, and the facilities offered a range of amenities, which added value to my stay.

While the rooms were clean and tidy, the faint smell of cigarette smoke was bothersome, and we didn't have hot water, requiring us to go to the onsen for showers.
Service

The service was lacking; the staff appeared indifferent, and although they apologized for the limited amenities, nothing substantial was done to improve our experience.
Location

The location is fairly convenient, just a 15-minute walk to the main attractions, but the uphill path made it a bit less ideal to navigate.
Dining

The dining experience was enjoyable, with amazing food that used local ingredients. I particularly loved the crispy fries!
Facilities

The facilities were decent, with a variety of amenities available, though some services, like the shuttle, were not always operational.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were spacious, but the old facilities did not offer hot water, which required frequent trips to the onsen. The service was helpful in answering my questions, although it felt a bit understaffed. The location is decent as it's close to the center, making it easy to explore, but not the most convenient due to being on a slope. Overall, it offers reasonable value for a spa resort experience, but there were definitely some drawbacks.

Rooms

The rooms were spacious but quite old, which was a bit of a letdown. Plus, there was no hot water, so I had to head to the onsen every time I wanted to shower.
Service

The staff were friendly and accommodating, especially when answering my queries about meals, but the overall service felt limited due to the small crew.
Location

The hotel is on a slope, which makes it a little tricky to get to the main street, but it's still close to the center area and all the major attractions.
Dining

The facilities could use an update; for a spa resort, I expected a bit more in terms of comfort and modern amenities.
